Sunol Regional Park Little Yosemite Falls Trail
What may lack in falls is made up with surrounding beauty of this remote corner of the Eastbay area near Livermore, CA. But one should venture beyond the more popular initial few flat miles to the grandeur of the climbing McCorkle trail loop back. It’s not only a majestic climb to some amazing overlooks (see below) but is quiet and idylic with nary a fellow hiker to be seen (they’re all down below on the Yosemite Falls trail).
Continuing Sunol Yosemite Falls trail
Head straight out the Yosemite Falls trail until just before you can go no father and turn left at the McCorkle trail sign for the piece deresistance(sp), which will return you to the trail head in a way you won’t believe
